The Stade Seaport

The Stade seaport is situated directly on the Elbe sea-lane between Hamburg and the Elbe estuary at Cuxhaven. Its proximity to the North Sea and Baltic Canal provides short routes to the Baltic area. The neighbouring industrial rail station, Industriebahnhof Stade further compliments the infrastructure. The connection between the industrial rails station’s resources with those of the Seaport provides ideal conditions for logistics from one source now and in the future. Due to a number of companies offering port and transportation services, such as port agency, mooring, handling and stevedoring of bulk and general cargo, tug services and circumnavigation of the port as well as dangerous goods transports, the Seaport Stade is a highly efficient location within the network of Lower Saxony’s seaports. The expansion on the Northwest Quay offers opportunities to expand transfer activities in handling bulk cargo, general cargo, containers and project cargo. The northern part of the pier in the port Stade Bützfleth serves for loading and unloading bauxite and aluminium-oxide and wet aluminum hydroxide. A large part of the port handling activities in the southern port area consists of the import and export of liquid and gaseous chemical elements. Stade offers handling of bulk and general cargo on paved and flood-proof handling and storage areas. There is a maximum draught of 13.5 m available to ships here.
